Highly imaginative and would’ve freaked the crap out of me as a child. I really felt the stop-motion animation lent itself to the story, and wasn’t just a gimmick. I regret not seeing this at theatres in 3D. Such beauty constrained to the small screen is a pity. Perhaps a challenge to UP as best animated feature (I feel “9” might steal that title).
Some seriously hilarious scenes and dialogue contrasted with boring social commentary. Definitely worth it for the several laughs, but don’t expect this year’s In Bruges
