Abashed the Devil stood and felt how awful goodness is. (Film Draft)

Technically, it might be October 31, but I don’t give a shit.  It’s still Devil’s Night in my eyes (Fire it up!).  So then, it’s only appropriate:

The Crow

Flawed, sure.  But there’s a lot of badass greatness in the mix.  Definitely one of the darker movies I was exposed to at a young age, it played frequently throughout my childhood and on into my pre-teen years.  Many aspects of the film itself as well as components external to the movie came to create a mythic quality which has left a significant, lasting impression on me.

I’ve never watched this. Chris Z. was always so enthusiastic about the movie that I was sure it had to suck.

  2. David says:

Yeah, and I mean it hasn’t aged entirely well. I don’t know how I’d react if I watched it for the first time today. I think I’d appreciate several aspects quite a bit, but it probably wouldn’t be something I’d go nuts over or that’d make my dvd collection. Maybe.

Again, though, it’s just one of those things.
